APRIL 28, 2006. WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK
He World Day for Safety and Health at Work aims to focus international attention on the promotion and creation of decent and secure work. Likewise, the ILO(International Labor Organization) as a prominent actor on this day, has as its objectives reducing the number of work-related deaths, including those caused by HIV/AIDS, as well as making work decent.
In 2003, the ILO began celebrating the World Day to emphasize the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. And this year, as in previous years, events will be held around the world to support this initiative.
