PARTICIPATE IN THE EUROPEAN AWARDS FOR GOOD PRACTICES

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work(EU-OSHA) opens the call for applications for the tenths European Awards for Good Practices in the field of safety and health at work. The 2010/2011 competition will recognize companies or organizations that have stood out for their innovative contribution and for promoting a comprehensive approach to safe maintenance management.

“Healthy Jobs” Campaign

The European Campaign is organized by the European Agency(EU-OSHA) in collaboration with the Member States and the Presidency of the European Union. One of the main activities supporting the Campaign are the European Awards for Good Practices, organized with the objective of identifying examples of good practices in terms of safe and preventive maintenance.

The Awards aim to demonstrate, through examples, the benefits derived from the implementation of good practices in terms of safety and health at work: for European employers and workers, intermediaries, social partners, technicians and professionals in the prevention of occupational risks, as well as for those who provide assistance and information in the workplace.

The selected examples, divided into 2 categories: companies with less than 100 employees and companies with 100 or more employees, will be recognized for their contribution to improving working conditions in Europe.

Besides:

  • representatives of those selected companies and organizations will be invited to the Awards ceremony, which will take place in the spring of 2011, and
  • Examples will be presented on the European Agency website as well as in an Agency brochure that will be distributed throughout Europe.
