The Deputy Director General of Information Systems and Services of Fraternidad-Muprespa partiThis Tuesday at the round table “I Insight IA 2025 GRC IA Forum”, organized by the Spanish Association for Quality (AEC) a meeting aimed at responding to new business needs at a time when organizations are working on the safe and responsible adoption of AI.

The opening was carried out by Alberto Gonzalez, Director of Operations and IT / Manager of the DPD Club and CISO Club of the AEC, who presented a new professional certification in Governance, Risk and Compliance in Artificial Intelligence.

He then spoke Ignasi Belda, general director of the AESIA - Spanish Artificial Intelligence Supervision Agency, which detailed the characteristics of the European AI Regulation.

Maria Liza Corera, IT Lawyer, PhD in Law and professor at the International University of La Rioja, developed regulatory aspects on AI, exposing the content of the recently approved Galician Law 2/2025 on Artificial Intelligence.

Laura Vico, Senior Legal Advisor at Govertis-Telefónica Tech, then led the round table “Opportunities of AI and challenges it poses in risk management and compliance.”

In it, Pedro Serrera explained how it has been resolved in Fraternidad-Muprespa compliance with the European Regulation, from the role of "responsible for deployment".

“The training of our workers, the publication of an AI management policy and, above all, the commitment to an internal, secure AI based on free software, allows us to benefit from the treatment that the Regulation contemplates for this type of systems,” he assured.

Serrera highlighted how in Fraternidad-Muprespa an AI system has been designed, built and implemented with two key objectives: ilarge scale impact, achieved given that AI benefits some 2,400 users with a residual cost, and optimization in the healthcare sector, because AI is used to support medical consultations and report preparation, ensuring strict compliance with current legislation on artificial intelligence.

Together with him they intervened at the table Josep Miquel Salgado, from the Barcelona Provincial Council, Ascen Moro, from the Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council, and Alicia Buisan, from Santa Lucía Seguros.

The day ended with the intervention of Antonio Muñoz Marcos, providing his vision from the Telefónica DPO office.
