That is why the article that we share in this news is key to knowing all the aspects of a work that allows the reader to value the extraordinary work of these professionals in a complicated moment: when a patient and their immediate environment must face a complicated emotional process after a work accident.

This article is the result of the collaborative work of three authors, three social workers who practice in Andalusia: Ana Chávez, from Asepeyo, Asun Morilla, from Fraternidad-Muprespa, and Blanca Abascal, from MC Mutual. These three mutual companies make up + commitment, mutual alliance.

The authors describe the main challenges they face in their daily work and how they face and identify the needs related to the patient's health, their home and their environment, in addition to accompanying them in the process of change that requires, depending on the severity of the accident, facing situations of loss, with emotions and feelings of diverse nature: fear, anger, anguish, helplessness, sadness, etc. which include a decrease in the expectations of your life project.

“Weaving links in these circumstances is fundamental and not always easy, because it is about providing security in an unexpected situation, which each patient manages in a particular way,” they say in the text, to conclude “we are experienced catalysts in a space of interaction, which permanently places us between the entity in which we work and the patient's vital context.”
