THE ARAGON INSTITUTE OF SAFETY AND HEALTH AND Fraternidad-Muprespa CELEBRATE A DAY ON GOOD PRACTICES TO REDUCE WORKPLACE ACCIDENTS

On June 10, the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security Fraternidad-Muprespa, has celebrated with the participation of Department of Economy, Industry and Employment of the Government of Aragon, and through Aragonese Institute of Safety and Health a day in Zaragoza under the title: "Day of good practices to reduce workplace accidents."

The opening of the day was carried out by Ms. Mª. Soledad de la Puente Sánchez, general director of labor of the Government of Aragon, who has indicated the need to extend good preventive practices to all Aragonese companies, regardless of their size, in the conviction that effective prevention is possible not only in large companies, but also in SMEs, which are the majority in the Aragonese business fabric.

The first table then took place, moderated by Ms. María del Mar Morales González, director of the Prevention and Development of Health Culture department at Fraternidad-Muprespa. They have intervened Mr. Francisco Javier Mota Martínez, Health and Safety Director of Cemex Spain with his presentation titled: “Leadership, integration and participation, the keys to success” and Ms. Carmen Ferreras Fidalgo, prevention technician Schindler, who has spoken on “Behavioral analysis, a factor that contributes to improving safety.”

In the second table, moderated by Ms. Eva Ramón Arbúes, Provincial Director of Zaragoza of Fraternidad-Muprespa, have participated Mr. Bernardo Pons Estévez, key account manager Mineral Products for Industry y Mr. Gonzalo Escartín Santolaria, technical director of Schmitz Cargobull Iberian. Both presented the good preventive practices successfully implemented in their companies.

The event has closed Mr. Antonio Barrachina Lupon, director of the Aragonese Institute of Safety and Health, who has stressed the importance of occupational health and safety, the implementation of management systems and good practices such as those that the speaker companies have presented.

The capacity of the ISSLA Assembly Hall, where the event took place, has practically been filled. The organization of the event and the presentations of the speakers, as well as their answers to the questions posed, have been pleasantly valued by attendees.
