The Exhibition "Prevention Posters of the 20th Century" at the Occupational Health and Safety Institute of Murcia
The Region of Murcia once again hosts the Exhibition “Prevention Posters of the 20th Century” and does so in a second location, the autonomous Occupational Health and Safety Institute where it can be visited until the 22nd. At the end of last month it was inaugurated at the University of the Region, specifically at the Faculty of Labor Sciences. The exhibition, which has traveled more than 26,000 kilometers through various Spanish cities, is organized by Fraternidad-Muprespa and the AXA Foundation, to continue their intense work to disseminate preventive culture and the evolution of occupational risk prevention through this retrospective.
Mª Ángeles Villanueva, director of the Occupational Health and Safety Institute, welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their attendance, remembering that it is the first event to be held in person at the institute for more than two years and highlighting the relevance of the message of many of the posters and the suitability of the institute as an exhibition space for the exhibition.
Diego Barnuevo, general director of Social Dialogue and Labor Welfare of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, took the floor next, highlighting that the exhibition “allows us to get closer to recent history through posters that show us not only what work was like but also the economy, values and idiosyncrasy, in short, what society was like at all times.”
Silvia Vela, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations of of the poster as a tool to transmit the preventive message in a society like that of Spain in the last century.
For his part, José Millán, director of the AXA Chair of Prevention, highlighted the overlapping styles that come together in the posters and the importance that the exhibitions have for the dissemination of prevention. And tafter the turn of interventions, took a tour of the exhibition explaining to the attendees the characteristics of the posters on display.
