The Fraternidad-Muprespa delegation in Avilés holds a workplace road safety workshop

Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, organized last Tuesday, June 11, in Avilés, two occupational road safety workshops taught by Ivan Fernandez, prevention technician at the Mutua in Asturias. 

Workers from the Asturagua Group and Aguas de Avilés. To carry it out, one of the Mutua's immersive virtual reality equipment was used, with which the workers simulated driving in adverse circumstances (ice, snow, insect inside the vehicle, glare...). They were also able to verify, using virtual reality glasses, the effects on our reflexes of driving with excess alcohol in the body.

All attendees had driving experiences in different risk situations and remembered the need to have good driving practices both during the workday and in daily life, expressing at the end of the workshop their satisfaction with the workshop received. According to data from the DGT, more than 90% of accidents are caused by human errors, hence the importance of these workshops.

Carmen Alvarez, manager of Aguas de Avilés, expressed his satisfaction for participating in such a useful workshop. Asturgagua and Aguas de Avilés have had the Asturian Safe Mobility Seal since 2018, awarded by the Asturian Prevention Institute. Actions like this contribute to strengthening and promoting Road Safety.
