As every September 22, World Car-Free Day is celebrated, a day that seeks to promote the ___ecological awareness in citizens of the world___, contributing to the care of the health of people and the environment.

In addition, the European Commission promotes the European Mobility Week from September 16 to 22, under the motto "Combine and move!", to promote sustainable mobility and raise awareness about the shared and responsible use of public space.

It is also a perfect time to reflect on car dependency and how we could move through greener and more sustainable means. The goal is to breathe cleaner air and make our cities a more livable home, a trend with which Fraternidad-Muprespa.

is aligned.

And why should everyone join? Because it would pollute less: leaving the car means emitting less CO2 and other pollutants that harm the planet and the health of those who live on it.

Because it invites you to gain health: walking, pedaling or using public transportation is a good way to exercise, and therefore improve general health and mood.

Because living surrounded by less traffic means less stress: fewer cars means less traffic jams and more peace of mind, in addition to the possibility of walking freely and without stress.

Because it lowers the decibels: a city without background engine noise or inopportune honking horns provides more peace of mind and allows for a more appropriate rest.

Solutions are within reach of the majority, for example, traveling by bicycle, putting on shoes and walking to possible destinations, using public transport or organizing shared car routes with friends or colleagues work.
