Today, June 5, is  World Environment Day, the main theme of this year is land restoration, resilience to drought and desertification. 

According to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, up to 40% of the planet's land areas are degraded, which directly affects half of the world's population.

Since 2020, drought periods have worsened, increasing in number and duration by 29%.

If we do not raise awareness and take urgent measures, in 25 years droughts could affect more than three quarters of the population, although there are already many people who currently suffer their effects.
