World Physiotherapy Day: the essential role of professionals and the advances of the care model
Every September 8, World Physiotherapy Day is celebrated, a date that remembers the origin of a profession born to restore mobility, relieve pain and accompany people in their functional recovery. From its first European schools at the end of the 19th century to the consolidation of physiotherapy as an essential health discipline, the axis has always been the same: the ability to transform the lives of patients.
At Fraternidad-Muprespa this commitment is reflected in the daily work of more than 200 professionals who care for thousands of protected workers, guiding them in their recovery process and helping them to return to their work safely and well-being. The rating of those who put themselves in the hands of physiotherapists, 8.5, reflects the quality of care and human support that characterizes the Mutua.
This year, the celebration goes hand in hand with significant progress in the modernization of the Fraternidad-Muprespa healthcare model. The entity has implemented the telerehabilitation service within the strategic recupera program, a project that organizes and homogenizes rehabilitation throughout the Mutua through common criteria, digital tools and new support resources for professionals and patients.
Telerehabilitation makes it possible to assign home treatments within the rehabilitation plan, monitor from the application itself, and reinforce continuity between in-person sessions and exercises performed at home. For patients, access is integrated into the Patient Portal and the appMy Frater Patient. Each activity is recorded and supervised by a physiotherapy professional, who adapts the plan according to progress.
On this World Physiotherapy Day, Fraternidad-Muprespa recognizes the dedication, knowledge and vocation of its physiotherapists, who combine technique and personalized attention. Their work, supported by digital tools and a more modern healthcare model, continues to be essential to recover patients' health and improve their quality of life.
The Mutua thus reaffirms its commitment to innovative, close physiotherapy aimed at offering the best care to protected workers.
