Conference in Las Palmas on the employment relationship after a temporary disability

Almost a hundred labor advisors attended this Tuesday the conference “The employment relationship after the declaration of a permanent disability: termination or necessary adjustment", organized by the College of Social Graduates of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. The event could be followed in person at the college headquarters and via streaming, and had the participation of Fraternidad-Muprespa.

The event was opened by Antonio Javier Medina, member of the College, and Carlos Macho, Provincial Director of the Mutua, describing the synergies between the two entities in recent years, in terms of training and information.

Medina introduced the central topic of the day, Law 2/2025 approved on April 29, which modifies the consolidated text of the Workers' Statute Law and the General Social Security Law on permanent disability, a topic that was developed in detail by Ana Lorenzo, technical and training coordinator of the Mutual Benefits department and main speaker.

Lorenzo explained the most relevant points of said Law and at the end answered some questions posed by the attendees. 

Carlos Macho, for his part, described how Fraternidad-Muprespa approaches communication on Social Security matters with its interest groups: mutualists, labor advisors, professional associations, companies, public institutions, etc., and stressed the importance of continuing to collaborate in the future with the College in different training programs.
