Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers 14.1 million to mutual companies to reduce workplace accidents
Fraternidad-Muprespa, Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, managed incentives worth 14,129,000 euros during the 2019 Bonus campaign (relating to the year 2018). The recipients were 5,784 associated companies that have significantly reduced their workplace accidents. This amount is 11% higher than that paid by Fraternidad-Muprespa in last year's campaign. A total of 6,060 applications, 96% of the 6,305 received, were favorable.
Fraternidad-Muprespa continues to firmly support digitalization, and of the requests received, 52% arrived electronically, which represents an increase of 12% compared to those received in the previous campaign. The Mutua makes available to its associated companies a more comfortable and agile way to make the request and that also complies with the entity's commitment to the digitalization of processes.
Of the companies that received this incentive, 87% have up to 50 employees. 10% have between 50 and 249, while the remaining 3% correspond to companies with 250 or more workers.
In the last 2019 campaign, the amount of the incentive was 5% of the fees for professional contingencies of the requesting companies and within the period that corresponded to the observation period. Fraternidad-Muprespa paid 8.4 million euros for this concept to 79% of the requesting companies. In the case of companies that had made complementary investments in prevention tasks, the incentive was an additional 5%. The amount paid under these preventive actions was 5.6 million euros to the remaining 29% of companies.

The Bonus incentive system, aimed at reducing contributions for professional contingencies recognized by the DGOSS, (General Directorate of Social Security Regulation). Fraternidad-Muprespa, as Mutua Collaboradora, provides coverage to its companies and manages these incentives for them, which have been suspended for 2020 contributions by Royal Decree-Law 18/2019 of December 27, which adopts certain measures in tax, cadastral and social security matters. Previously, Royal Decree-Law 20/2018 of December 28 already suspended the contributions generated during the year 2019.
