Fraternidad-Muprespa HAS CELEBRATED A DAY IN MADRID PRESENTING THE BOOK: THE REFORM OF THE MUTUAS

On February 4, an information day was held on the new Mutual Insurance Law, where the book was presented “The reform of the Mutual Insurance Companies”.

The day has been inaugurated by Mr. Carlos Aranda Martín, Managing Director of the Mutual Collaborator with Social Security “The Reform of the Mutual Insurance Companies”, Mr. Juan López Gandía y Mr. Daniel Toscani.

The Professor of Labor Law at the Polytechnic University of Valencia Mr. Juan López Gandía, has presented the book “The Reform of the Mutual Insurance Companies”, clarifying the most notable aspects of the Mutual Insurance Law.

Mr. Julio Santos Palacios, Director of Network Relations, chaired the round table where he presented its members and posed questions about the most burning issues of the new Law.

The first to intervene was Mr. Rafael Domenech Gironi, Director of the Mutua Legal Center, who has clarified the changes introduced by the new Law regarding the association and change of Mutua de las Empresas, as well as the association agreements, which have been reduced to one year. He commented on the new functions granted to the Control and Monitoring Commission and the expansion of the budget to the Special Benefits Commission, by 10% of the Mutual Fund's surplus. Likewise, he has also spoken about the consideration for the concerted administration of the direct one, which cannot be granted based on the Law.

Mr. Fernando Mena Babiano, Deputy Department Director of IT Assistance Coordination and Control, has explained the three aspects in which the Law refers to Temporary Disability: the discharge proposals, the monitoring and control actions and possible agreements and collaborations with Social Security.

The Technician of the Entity Mr. Rafael Matheu Martín, has clarified the new conditions of the Mutual Insurance Law regarding the Cessation of Activity of the Self-Employed (CATA) benefit.

Subsequently, a question-and-answer session was generated where the doubts of the attendees were clarified.

The day has been closed by Mrs. Natalia Fernández Laviada, Deputy Director General of Organization and Network of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who thanked all attendees for their presence at this event, which has generated great interest.
