The Provincial management of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Lugo received last Tuesday morning the visit of members of the 2018 employment shuttle promoted by the Santa María la Real Foundation. The purpose of the visit was to learn first-hand about the work carried out at the Mutual Fund and the services they manage.

The day began with a presentation by the Provincial Director, José Luis Sánchez, who explained to the attendees the functions entrusted to the Mutual Collaborators with Social Security, how they manage benefits and also the history of Fraternidad-Muprespa, which this year celebrates its 90th anniversary.

Sánchez later guided the group on a visit to the administrative and healthcare center so that they could learn about the different tasks carried out at the Mutua. The attendees, accompanied by their coordinator, Rosa Corral, actively participated by sharing their previous experiences and expressing their doubts about the Mutual Insurance sector. In the province of Lugo there are 1,500 mutual companies and 10,300 workers protected by Fraternidad-Muprespa.

The Santa María la Real Foundation is a private non-profit cultural organization, founded in 2014. The core of its activity is to rebuild the future in terms of innovation, betting on people, heritage and the landscape as recipients of its efforts. Among its actions, employment shuttles stand out, such as the one in the province of Lugo. This is a heterogeneous group of unemployed people who voluntarily access the initiative, reinforce their skills, generate collective knowledge, become visible and collaborate in achieving the common goal of obtaining employment as self-employed or employed.
