Fraternidad-Muprespa in Oviedo has commemorated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work with the holding of open days as part of the “Prevention Week”.

Strengthening the preventive culture is one of the main objectives that, in terms of occupational risk prevention, is carried out at Fraternidad-Muprespa, as it is considered an essential element to fight against workplace accidents. Involving the entire society and promoting safe procedures and awareness-raising and information actions are essential to make firm progress in this matter.

Making future workers aware of the fact that it is a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security and the various areas of work that are carried out in it in areas such as the prevention, rehabilitation and management of work accidents and occupational diseases, is one of the activities that have been carried out at the open day.

The visits have consisted of the simulation of a work accident and all the steps leading to the rehabilitation and improvement of the injured worker. To achieve this, we have had the collaboration of all the departments of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Oviedo: Admission, medical service, nursing, physiotherapy, administration and prevention.

This week the following groups of students have visited us:

On April 26, we were accompanied by Down Syndrome Association, attended by ten students, some of them are already doing internships in workplaces. They have been accompanied by their educators Ms. Isabel Friend y Mr. Pablo Valdés.

That same day we also received a visit from the Masaveu Foundation, a concerted vocational training center, with a group of eighteen 1st year Machining students (FME-202), accompanied by their teacher,Mr. Francisco García.

On Wednesday the 27th, the Sardinian Vocational Training Center, with the students of Documentation and Health Training (1st year), accompanied by Ms. Amparo Magdalena Palace, his tutor and Ms. Gloria Alvarez Laborga, head of department, attending 22 students.

The Masaveu Foundation Two new groups of students have attended: Intermediate Electricity (14 students) and Higher Electricity (15 students), accompanied by Mr. Francisco García Campa.

The Father Vinjoy Foundation, has also joined the commemorative events with two groups of students: Basic degree of computer science, with 1st and 2nd year students, adding a total of 12 students and the Higher degree of communicative mediation, with 14 students, who have come with their teachers,Mr. José Manuel Orrego y Mrs. Alicia Portilla.

On Thursday the 28th, we had the presence of Doctor Fleming Vocational Training Center, their teachers Ms. Olga Lopez y Ms. Marta de Roman, have participated in this week with two groups of 12 students: 1st year of Administrative Management, Intermediate Degree and Administrative Services of Vocational Training.

In total, 132 people, including students and teachers, have attended these days, who have shown their satisfaction in these visits.
