A thunderous alert on the mobile phone, testimonies of fear and destruction on TV and suddenly the image of the Picanya bridge swept away by the enormous flood. "It's my wife's town. We were in a state of shock." Jordi de Vicente, Provincial Director of

PodcastFM has chatted with him, who in this interview has described how he has experienced the devastating effects of this tragedy, while analyzing and detailing the initial concern to know how it had affected the staff of the Provincial management and how decisions were made to solve problems in a hostile scenario, since some incidents prevented progress towards the resolution of the following ones.

“Our ambulance company has lost half of its fleet, the Intermutual Hospital of Levante had supply problems, there were continuous demands to be resolved, always keeping in mind that the first thing was to try to solve people's problems,” says de Vicente, who offers a chilling fact: “one in four companies is destroyed or has disappeared. Valencia has lost its business belt.”

His testimony is resounding and forceful when talking about how Fraternidad-Muprespa has responded to this situation. "I have had all your support. I am one more piece of the puzzle but in that situation the support of Territorial management, Human Resources management and senior management was vital. I felt completely supported and with help at all times, concern and interest from the manager to colleagues who have given me their love and warmth," he described.

With it we have also learned a little more about the measures adopted by the Government aimed at helping people affected by DANA, emphasizing those focused on companies and workers and which we describe in various news items.

It causes a special emotion to hear Jordi de Vicente talk about the attitude of hundreds of volunteers who have collaborated to clean streets, houses, garages... he himself became a volunteer with his family.

It was worth breaking your back to get a look of gratitude from someone you helped clean their house
