MUTUA FM HAS PARTICIPATED IN THE “III BASIC COURSE OF THE SPANISH SOCIETY OF WORKPLACE TRAUMATOLOGY” ON SPINAL PATHOLOGY

On June 9, the III Spanish Society of Occupational Traumatology Basic Course on Spinal Pathology in the Workplace was held in Seville.

Qualified occupational trauma professionals from the main Work Accident Mutual Insurance Companies participated in the course.
The presentation presented by the Dr. Andrés Molina, doctor of the Provincial Directorate of Seville Fraternidad-Muprespa, about a work done with the Dr. Adolfo Mares, Provincial Medical Director of the Mutua.
He explained how to establish criteria for determining contingency in work accidents, where there must be an accident-incident with certain characteristics, a direct relationship between the mechanism and the injuries, there must be an acute injury and in the case of PANOTRATTS they must have the exclusive cause of the work.

These criteria have subsequently been applied in a prospective study, based on patients who come to the emergency room requesting assistance for back and low back pain that they consider to be of work-related origin.

This study has been carried out during a period of one year at the Fraternidad-Muprespa Care Center in Seville.

The course was well attended by health professionals.
