Next Fratertalk: The PRL and the Titanic 110 years after the sinking
Do you remember what happened on April 14, 1912? Indeed, it is the date on which one of the greatest events in maritime navigation occurred: the sinking of the Titanic. Surely the exceptional film directed by James Cameron that was released in 1998, winner of 11 Oscars and thanks to which we were able to know its story reliably, also automatically comes to mind.
___And you might wonder, what relationship does the sinking of the Titanic have with job security? Well, thanks to the guest of our next Fratertalk, Antonio José Millán, next June 17 at 10 a.m. we will see how many of the causes and errors that caused the sinking of the Titanic are very similar to those that today, 110 years later, are responsible for many of the work accidents that occur in our country, which leads us to remember the saying that says “he who does not know his history is condemned to repeat it”.
Antonio José Millán is director of the AXA Prevention Chair and one of the most experienced voices in the world of occupational risk prevention, in fact, he was the winner of the extraordinary award for professional career in our Escolático Zaldívar awards last year. As if his impressive resume were not enough, Antonio José Millán is also promoter of the first and only "Culture of Prevention" Pavilion existing to date in our country located in the Granada Science Park and also promoter of the exhibition "Could the Titanic tragedy be avoided? The importance of prevention”.
