Quirónsalud, ANAV, Mirelena and Creu Roja from Barcelona receive the Escolático Zaldívar award

Fraternidad-Muprespa, a Mutual Collaborator with Social Security, celebrated this Tuesday, in the assembly hall of the Hospital The winners of this edition were Quirónsalud, in the large companies category, for understanding prevention, safety and health as global and expert care based on personalization, closeness and direct connection with the worker; the Ascó Vandellós Nuclear Association, II (ANAV), in the category of large company with less than 1,500 workers, for aligning with the Vision Zero project and making a great effort and investment in its human capital; Mirelena, a construction company from San Sebastián, in the category of SMEs and newly created companies, for its innovative work to protect against falls on construction sites, but also to prevent them, and Creu Roja de Barcelona, in the category of non-profit entities,  for developing tools to manage the highly emotionally charged experiences that its workers.

Carlos Aranda, managing director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, welcomed the event, which was presented Natalia Fdez. Aranda highlighted that this awards ceremony is the “first public event in our newly opened Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital, of which we are so proud.” He also added that this awards ceremony is part of the IV Prevention Week organized by the Entity and remembers the activity and vocation of Escolásico Zaldívar, founder of La Fraternidad in 1929.

Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, president of the Mutual Fund, highlighted the work of the mutual companies, “which make a prevention effort beyond what is established by law and appreciated that 58 reports were presented, representing 34,000 workers.”

Jesús Ángel Díaz, deputy director of Occupational Risk Prevention at Adif, spoke as the winner of the previous edition in the large company category and spoke in his speech about psychosocial risks. 

Jorge Cabrera, Corporate Director of PRL at Quirónsalud, assured that "it is an honor to receive this award that makes us very excited because it is the culmination of a project that we started in 2016." 

José Antonio Gago, General Director of the Ascó Vandellós II Nuclear Association, indicated that “they have been working for many years to increase nuclear safety and improve accident rates thanks to specific plans.” 

Yolanda Resa, Managing Director of Mirelena, described the collective protection system they have created. "We are a clear example that investment in prevention is not an expense. We decided not to settle for the same security as 60 years ago and this award reaffirms that we are doing it right."  

Paula Barrigá, director of the Spanish Red Cross' own Risk Prevention Service, thanked the Mutua for “valuing the work we do in prevention.For our prevention service, which celebrates ten years in 2019, this award is an incentive.”
