Next conference on occupational risk assessment during pregnancy
The D.R. 295/2009, in chapter IV, defined the mechanisms for obtaining risk benefit for pregnancy and breastfeeding. The criteria for assessing whether occupational risks affected pregnancy or breastfeeding, and therefore the weeks of start of the benefit, have been generally based on the use of the guide prepared by the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SEGO).
In December 2018, the new guide for assessing occupational risk during pregnancy (SEGO 2) was published, in which not only the Spanish Society of Gynecology, but also the INSS and AMAT (association of mutual insurance companies) participated, with the aim of achieving a guide of broad consensus. The conference is aimed at explaining the new features provided by said guide, so that mutual companies have greater knowledge of the preventive management to be carried out from the notification of the pregnancy situation, in addition to knowing the important differences in criteria that may arise when applying the new guide, new identification risks, etc.
