Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers the Zero Accident Distinction to 34 Asturian mutual companies
The Asturian Institute of Prevention of Occupational Risks (IAPRL) hosted last Thursday the ceremony for the delivery of the Zero Accident Distinctions, which Fraternidad-Muprespa grants to the 34 companies whose employees have not had work accidents or occupational diseases in the last fifteen, ten or five years.
The badges are intended to be placed in a visible place in the company to demonstrate its proactivity in favor of safety, health and occupational well-being. The rest of the companies deserving the distinction, a total of 25, will receive it soon.
The opening of the event was carried out by José Ignacio Díaz Lucas, Northern Territorial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who welcomed those present and thanked them for their work in so many different sectors to achieve a zero accident rate in such a long period of time. He also thanked the presence of Humberto Sáez, head of the Training and Documentation Area of the IAPRL, who was satisfied to be in front of companies that have already internalized the value of prevention.

Next, Maite Belver, Provincial Director of the Mutua in Asturias, along with the rest of the table, handed out the badges to the different companies, after which Isabel Nogueira, Prevention Coordinator of the Interprofessional Dairy Laboratory of Asturias, who was awarded the Gold Badge for her 15 years without work accidents or occupational diseases, took the floor on behalf of all of them. Nogueira explained that the key for his company to have achieved something so meritorious was the involvement of both management and the workers themselves.

Once the delivery ceremony was over, attendees were invited to visit the exhibition Could the Titanic Tragedy Be Avoided?, an exhibition promoted by the AXA Foundation, Fraternidad-Muprespa and the Granada Science Park, which commemorates the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the ocean liner, which houses the Institute to this day 21.
Humberto Sáez was detailing some of the events that contributed to the sinking of the ship and explaining that with the current Law of Prevention of Occupational Risks, that tragedy could have been avoided.
