26 Alicante companies receive their Zero Accident Badges from Fraternidad-Muprespa

General

Fraternidad-Muprespa Last Thursday, June 15, it delivered the Zero Accident Badges to 26 Alicante mutual companies, in an event held at the Provincial Directorate of the Mutua, which was attended by María José Caballero, Territorial Director in Alicante of INVASSAT (Valencian Institute of Safety and Health at Work).

All distinguished companies have in common that their employees have not reported work-related accidents or occupational diseases in the last fifteen, ten or five years. The rest of the companies deserving the distinction, close to a hundred, will receive it soon.

Eloy Avila, Provincial Director of the Mutua, received the representatives of the distinguished companies and highlighted the importance of prevention, based on the conviction that all injuries and illnesses derived from work are avoidable. He also recalled that "people in management and middle management roles are, ultimately, responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, strengthening the culture of prevention with healthy, visible, credible and committed leadership, typical of our century."

María José Caballero highlighted in her speech that “the safety culture in organizations constitutes the key factor that determines the effectiveness of a prevention system” and recalled that last April it was agreed to implement an action plan in the Valencian Community against serious and fatal traumatic work accidents that occurred during the workday during the period 2023-2025.

“This Plan will give rise to concrete actions, aimed on the one hand at increasing surveillance and control of working conditions, and on the other, at raising awareness, sensitizing and advising on the measures to be adopted to prevent the materialization of risks,” he concluded.

They also accompanied the companies in this event Victor José Saz, attached to the Provincial Directorate of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Alicante, as well as Maria Asuncion Jaen, Lola Mesas y Sumay Lozano, technical advisors.

The badges are intended to be placed in a visible place in the company to record its proactivity in favor of occupational safety, health and well-being. Recognized companies can share their good practices in the campaign that the Mutua develops on its social networks with the hashtag #CeroAccidentesFM.
