2025 World Environment Day

Today June 5 is celebrated on DayWorld Environment, with the aim of raising awareness among the world's population about the importance of taking care of our ecosystems and promoting respect for the environment. This year's motto is  "No plastic pollution".

Plastics have brought great benefits to our societies, but the way we use and dispose of them is causing major environmental problems and for human health and the rest of the species that inhabit the planet.

Every day we use single-use plastic products such as bags, bottles, overpackaged products... It is essential to promote a culture of  reductionreuse  y correct treatment of these materials and waste that we generate on a daily basis.

It is estimated that humanity will consume this year  more than 500 million tons of plastic and that a large portion of these used plastics will quickly become 400 million tons of plastic waste.

The recovery of waste is the process by which it regains its useful life, thus preventing it from ending up in the landfill and becoming raw material for other processes.
