INSS, ITSS and Fraternidad-Muprespa hold a conference in Valladolid on making IP pension and work compatible

Fraternidad-Muprespa, along with the INSS Provincial Directorate and the Territorial Directorate of Castilla y León of the Labor and Social Security Inspection, On Friday morning in Valladolid, an information day was held focused on the compatibility between the permanent disability pension and work and the developments with an impact on the inspection function (ITSS).

The event was inaugurated by Jerónimo González, provincial director of the INSS and TGSS in Valladolid, and had the participation of Marta Carretero, director of the Legal Advice and Services Center of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who addressed the recent modification of the Workers' Statute. This reform, which derives from the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union of January 18, 2024 and of the Council Directive 2000/78/EC regarding equal treatment in employment, has given rise to the new wording of article 49.1 of the aforementioned Statute.

Javier Calderon, territorial director in Castilla y León of the Labor and Social Security Inspection, presented various topics of interest to mutual companies, advisors and social graduates. Among them, he highlighted the peculiarities of the fixed-discontinuous contract, the guarantee of compensation for dismissals after a complaint, the registration of working hours, the effects of productive decentralization on contributions and the inspection campaign on trial periods.

The day was attended by Carmen Rueda, territorial director of the Central Zone and Large Mutual Members of the Mutua, and of Carlos Varona, president of the College of Social Graduates of Valladolid. The event closed Javier Saldana, provincial director of Valladolid and Palencia of Fraternidad-Muprespa, who thanked the clarity of the interventions and the active participation of the attendees, reflecting the interest aroused by the topics addressed.
