Work Accident Considerations
- Accident suffered at the place and time of work.
- Accident occurring during the tasks carried out at work, even if they are different from the usual ones.
- “In itinere” accident: it is the one suffered when going to or returning from work and for its consideration, the following causes must be given:
- That it occurs on the way there or back.
- That there are no interruptions between work and the accident.
- Let the usual itinerary be carried out.
- Accident on mission: the accident suffered on the journey to be carried out, in the fulfillment of the entrusted mission, and at its usual time.
- Accident of elective union positions.
- Rescue acts: accident that occurs in rescue acts or of a similar nature when they are connected to work.
Requirements
- That the accident results in bodily injury. A mental or psychological illness derived from the work environment is also considered a work accident.
- That the injury was caused in an employed job.
- That there is proof of the injury-work causal link, for its classification as such.
