Technical conference on VISION ZERO organized by ICASEL and with the participation of Fraternidad-Muprespa
Fraternidad-Muprespa participated on September 16 and 17 in the “Technical Conference on VISION ZERO: Method + Attitude + Time” in the Canary Islands. The conference was held on the 16th in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and on the 17th in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, following the same program and with the same speakers.ICASEL, Canarian Institute of Occupational Safety, was the organizer of these sessions, focused on the VISION ZERO program, which seeks to ensure that all areas of organizations assume and integrate the prevention of occupational risks into their procedures to eradicate accidents and occupational diseases from their origin.
They inaugurated the event in Santa Cruz de Tenerife Alejandro Ramos, General Director of Labor, representing the Government of the Canary Islands, the Director of ICASEL,Elirerto Galván, Natalia Fdez. Laviada, Deputy General Director of Prevention, Quality and Communication of Fraternidad-Muprespa, Provincial Director of the Mutual Fund in Las Palmas,Carlos Macho, and the general coordinator of CEISA,Claudio Legnavieja.
On the 17th in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the inauguration was carried out by the Vice-Minister of Employment of the regional executive,Gustavo Santana, Bernardo Diaz, ICASEL Training Coordinator, and again Natalia Fdez. Laviada and Carlos Macho.
Natalia Fdez. Laviada participated both days with a presentation under the title “From Hygía to Alexa: communication in healthy companies"In times of artificial intelligence, Big Data or the Internet of Things, learning to label and manage emotions is essential and a healthy company must go beyond a simplistic vision," he said at the beginning of his speech, adding that there is still a long way to go in the field of risk prevention, since every year two million people die in the world from occupational diseases and work accidents.
Fdez. “We must achieve real integration of risk prevention,” he stated in conclusion.
They also participated on behalf of Fraternidad-Muprespa Alejandro Quintana e Ivan Fernandez, both, Risk Prevention technicians, with the presentations "VISION ZERO Approach: Utopia" and "Human factor in the face of methodologies and organizational culture. Error and resilience", respectively.
On behalf of the company CEISA, Special Cements of the Islands, participated in the Conference Claudio Legnavieja, General Coordinator of the company, who gave a practical presentation of how the VISION ZERO program is applied in his organization. Piernavieja influenced the choice to develop this program because it implies a new way of understanding occupational health and safety based on people and not on equipment or procedures. “Adopting an occupational risk prevention policy in which the human factor is the priority element is key and also increases trust, motivation, dialogue, team feeling... all benefits that in turn help achieve the 'zero accidents' goal, he assured.
At the end of the day each day, a discussion table took place in which attendees participated very actively.
