The exhibition “Prevention Posters of the 20th Century” organized by occupational health, as well as the prevention of occupational risks, organized by the Mutua in collaboration with the AXA Foundation and the capital's City Council.

The Atrium of the Town Hall is the setting for this traveling exhibition, which, through 48 reproductions of posters, traces the history of occupational risk prevention, from the hardest moments of the early 20th century, in an eminently agricultural and mining country, through the stage of industrial development and to the decades of the 60s and 70s, marked by the massive exodus from the countryside to the city and an exponential increase in workplace accidents.

With institutional presence of representatives of the three entities, the exhibition is part of the events organized for the 200th anniversary of the creation of the Sappers and Firefighters Corps of Granada.

The mayor of the city, Francisco Cuenca, highlighted in his speech the line of permanent collaboration established by the City Council with Fraternidad-Muprespa and the AXA Foundation in the fight to avoid both occupational risks and accident rate.

Josep Alfonso, general director of the AXA Foundation, opened the presentation session to highlight initiatives such as the dissemination of this exhibition, which “combine entertainment and education”. “Prevention and occupational health are vital matters but we must not be complacent, since in 2020 780 people died due to work-related accidents, 2% more than the previous year, despite the collapse in activity due to the Covid19 pandemic,” he assured.

For her part Natalia Fdez. It is the second time that Fraternidad-Muprespa and Fundación AXA collaborate in the dissemination of this exhibition, under the agreement signed between both entities, after having sent the sample to the city of Santander, to continue with the objective of promoting the prevention of occupational risks.
