Ámbito sanitario

On January 25, 1972, the Hospital Intermutual del Levante opened its doors thanks to the joint initiative of 22 employers' mutual insurance companies for work accidents, in its name at that time. This collaboration allowed the creation in the Levante area of a joint center, a reference in the recovery and rehabilitation of the group of protected workers who require health care after suffering a work accident.

Currently there are nine mutual societies that participate in the ownership and management of the center: Asepeyo, Fraternidad-Muprespa, Fremap, Ibermutua, Maz, Mc Mutual, Mutua Universal, Umivale Activa and Unión de Mutuas, under the direction and tutelage of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.

The hospital is located in Valencia in the town of San Antonio de Benagéber. It has 72,000 m2 of surface, of which 16,000 m2 are intended for health services. Its facilities include the health heliportHTMLTAG16___, the surgical block with 8 operating rooms equipped with cutting-edge technology equipment, its 144 beds distributed over 4 floors hospitalization, the gym for functional rehabilitation, and among others, occupational therapy, speech therapy, laboratory and outpatient consultation services. Almost 400 professionals provide their services at the center through a multidisciplinary approach to lead the management of occupational health processes in a comprehensive manner.

In 2021, 23,343 hospitalizations, 16,187 emergencies, 8,621 surgical interventions and 39,952 queries.

The Hospital Intermutual del Levante offers a wide portfolio of medical and surgical services, with the existing provision for trauma surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation being especially relevant, based on a clinical practice that integrates research and innovation at the highest scientific, human and professional level, with the aim of reintegration and rehabilitation the injured patient in his daily life in the shortest possible time.

The success of this specialized center lies in pursuing a common objective by sharing values committed to providing excellent health care service to its patients, and this is what its managing director tells us D. José Francisco Doménech:

It is a pride for me to lead a project that began 50 years ago, in accordance with the values of professionalism, commitment and sustainability, always at the service of patients, providing value to its mutual participants and developing a culture of continuous improvement, with the aim of consolidating its leadership in occupational health, in such a way that patients want to be treated in our hospital, professionals develop their careers there and continue contributing value to our mutual companies and society”.
