THE MUTUA

The Mutual Fraternidad-Muprespa has inaugurated its XVIII National Symposium “Update on the Management of Shoulder Injuries in the Workplace” at the Duques de Pastrana Auditorium in Madrid.

The opening and welcome ceremony was chaired by Mr. Carlos Aranda Martín, Managing Director of the Mutual Fund, together with the Hospital Manager,Mrs. Elena López Eusebio and the President and Vice President of the Congress Organizing Committee, doctors Mr. Juan P. Aguado Fernández y Mr. Alejando Fernández Domingo.

The Managing Director welcomed those present, emphasizing the success of the Symposium, with 203 registrations and the participation of the most important professionals in the shoulder specialty, including doctors from seven Social Security Collaborating Mutual Insurance Companies. Finally, he invited everyone to the next Symposium to be held at the new Fraternidad-Muprespa Central Hospital.

With three round tables, the latest developments in the treatment of shoulder injuries, which represent a high percentage of the pathologies that Mutual Insurance companies have to treat, were presented.

The shoulder has a wide and varied range of movements in multiple directions and therefore is the seat of multiple pathologies. It must be added that it is one of the joints that suffers the most injuries in the workplace.

Thanks to the best diagnostic means and the most specialized treatment techniques, better results are obtained that improve the quality of life of operated patients.

For all these reasons, Fraternidad-Muprespa has focused its XVIII National Symposium on shoulder injuries in the workplace.
