El Diario La Vanguardia has published an article with the participation of our Prevention Consultant from Asturias, Iván Fernández Suarez titled What type of leader are you? 10 characteristics of good leadership.

In the new way of understanding prevention that we disseminate from our philosophyVision Zero the role of the leader in organizations becomes fundamental to develop and integrate safety and health at work.

In the article, our colleague Iván details the characteristics of the three leadership styles of the renowned psychologist Kurt Lewin, which are:

  • Delegative leader: also known as “laissez-faire” in French (laissez-faire), which is a type of leader who lets subordinates make their own decisions.
  • Authoritarian leader: this type of leader monopolizes decision making in a unidirectional manner and without the possibility of criticism or intervention by the rest of the participants.
  • Democratic leader: this type of leadership is mainly participatory and unlike authoritarian, this type of leader ensures that all members of the organization intervene and have decision-making power.
