"Any given day" a call to action to prevent occupational risks
The INSST launches the campaign: "Prevention at work. Any given day" to raise awareness about the importance of preventing work accidents and occupational diseases, remembering that every day two people die at work in Spain.
The campaign is based on alarming data that illustrates the magnitude of the problem in Spain. "Any given day" alert that, in addition to the two daily deaths caused by work accidents, another 35 are hospitalized, and to this is added the figure of 29,405 people who saw their lives affected by occupational diseases in the last year alone.
The message emphasizes that a high percentage of these accidents and diseases could be avoided if appropriate preventive measures were implemented, which is why the need for a joint effort between the public administration, companies and workers to minimize occupational risks and prioritize health, safety and well-being in work environments is highlighted.
