Cardiovascular health: recommendations for its management in the workplace

The INSST has just published a new Prevention Technical Note (NTP) entitled: "Cardiovascular health, recommendations for its management in the workplace."

Cardiovascular pathology, very diverse in its causes and manifestations, is a disease that affects the different structures of the cardiocirculatory system. It is a chronic evolutionary pathology linked to age that can be accelerated or precipitated by a series of factors of both work and non-work origin. In this NTP, which is now number 1991 in the collection, it points out some general recommendations to avoid the appearance or worsening of this pathology, emphasizing its relevance in ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease.

It must be remembered that these technical notes are good practice guides and their indications are not mandatory unless they are included in a current regulatory provision if they are interesting reference document.
