Do you drive a vehicle? New infographic "Drive wisely. The important thing is to arrive"
Most people have to use a vehicle to get around work, both during the day and when going to or returning from work. While traveling, we can suffer a road accident with consequences for our own health and for the people with whom we share the road.
In fact, according to closed data from the National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSS), of the total of 601,123 work accidents with sick leave that occurred in 2021 in Spain, 65,342 were traffic accidents, representing 10.9% of the total work accidents, of which, one 57.8% were accidents while going to or returning from work (in itinere).
What can we do to prevent road accidents?
In our latest infographic we remember how important it is to rest and plan our route, choosing the safest itinerary. It is also necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle, resting when necessary to avoid fatigue while driving. Driving stressed increases our aggressiveness behind the wheel. Once you get into the vehicle, get behind the wheel well, use the safety devices and driving assistance systems (ADAS). The best rate for alcohol and drugs is zero. Consult your doctor about prescribed medications and their effects on driving. On regular journeys, do not let your guard down and be careful not to be distracted by cell phone use, eating or smoking on board the vehicle.
Road safety requires the commitment of everyone.
