Ergonomic aspects of noise
The National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST) has recently presented a new technical document entitled: "Ergonomic aspects of noise".
This white paper provides guidelines for the identification and assessment of risk related to noise exposure, highlighting its impact from an ergonomic perspective. In addition, it offers recommendations on how to carry out an appropriate risk assessment and proposes preventive measures to mitigate the effects of noise in the work environment.
It must be remembered that Royal Decree 286/2006, of March 10, on the protection of the health and safety of workers against the risks related to exposure to noise is the main regulatory reference and constitutes the regulations in force in Spain for protection against the harmful effects derived from exposure to noise in the workplace.
