___HTMLTA G129___En the line of providing information on this matter, we remember today a very appropriate document for these dates titled: ___HTM LTAG148___"Manual of ergonomics in installation and maintenance work of air conditioning units" prepared by UGT-FICA, Federation of Industry, Construction and Agriculture, with the collaboration of the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV).
The manual contains a series of recommendations for improving ergonomics, both general and specific, specific and unique to the tasks related to the installation and maintenance of air conditioning equipment. It also incorporates, in an eminently practical way, a series of teaching sheets with the different tasks, their analysis and provision of preventive solutions.
Its content highlights the importance of ergonomic risks in the sector, as well as the most frequent injuries in it, and discusses the main ergonomic risk factors and general recommendations for their reduction.Likewise, the manual includes a specific study of ergonomic risks and recommendations on specific air conditioning installation and maintenance tasks, ranging from the unloading of equipment and materials, the handling and installation of outdoor and indoor units (ducts and Split), as well as preventive maintenance tasks and detection and repair of leaks.
