Fifth United Nations World Road Safety Week
United Nations celebrates from May 6 to 12, 2019, the fifth world road safety week with the main idea that strong leadership is needed to promote road safety and with the goal of a world free of traffic deaths and injuries.
Through the motto “Make your voice heard” the campaign is presented with these fundamental objectives:
- Leadership is necessary: there is the possibility of evaluating our journeys, recording our demands and asking decision makers to commit to action to ensure the safety of our roads.
- Road safety is what is important: the “Save Lives” package of technical measures has been developed, the objective of which is to contribute the efforts of professionals in the field of road safety to substantially reduce the number of deaths due to traffic accidents.
- We are all leaders: encouraging civil society to participate by demanding changes in road safety to reduce the number of road accidents.
Make your voice heard in road safety
Fraternidad-Muprespa in its desire to innovate and help its associates improve their accident rate, it has been using the latest technology available in this matter with the realization of our Road Safety Workshops with virtual reality immersive that are taught by our technicians nationwide as an awareness tool for the prevention of traffic accidents.
The objective is for workers to live real experiences in safe environments to achieve a change in attitude. This is a pioneering project at the national level, since there are no applications developed in virtual reality that allow real first-person driving experiences, with exposure to different risk factors (alcohol, drugs, drowsiness, weather conditions or distractions).
