First meeting between Labor and Social Agents to update the PRL Law

This week the first social dialogue table was held that addresses the prevention of occupational risks in which union and business organizations and the Ministry have participated.

This table is a commitment acquired by the government after the agreement reached with the union, business organizations and the autonomous communities and the perimeter of the negotiation is based on the Spanish Strategy for Safety and Health at Work, approved on February 23, 2023, basically consisting of the review of Law 31/1995 and RD 39/1997.

Prevention Law Update

In this first meeting, a work schedule has been established to advance the regulatory modification that will address adaptation to new forms of work with special attention to the prevention of new risks associated with the use of ICT, psychosocial risks, the integration of age and generational diversity or exposure to certain chemical substances harmful to health. It is also planned to incorporate the gender perspective in the prevention of occupational risks in the prevention plan, risk identification and evaluation, health surveillance and training content.
