Fraternidad-Muprespa delivers the “Zero Accident Distinction” to 23 companies in Guadalajara

General

The Provincial Directorate of Fraternidad-Muprespa in Guadalajara held this Wednesday, June 14, the ceremony for the delivery of the Zero Accident Badges, which the Mutual Fund grants to companies that have not declared work-related accidents or occupational diseases in the last fifteen, ten or five years.

The badges are intended to be placed in a visible place in the company to demonstrate its proactivity in favor of occupational safety, health and well-being. The rest of the companies that deserve the distinction, around twenty, will receive it soon.

The opening of the event, which took place at the Provincial office, was led by its director, Alberto García, who welcomed the representatives of the distinguished companies and praised their good practices. “On this day we congratulate a group of companies that have returned all of their workers safely to their homes for a continuous period of time, not inconsiderable, of five, ten or fifteen years.”

García banished the so-called “luck factor” when it comes to not registering work accidents or professional illnesses, emphasizing that among the companies deserving the distinction there were entities dedicated to sectors such as construction, transportation, hospitality, services and the sports field.

Next Nuria Berta Chust, Deputy Minister of Employment, Social Dialogue and Labor Welfare of the Community Board of Castilla-La Mancha, praised the business commitment to zero accident rates, emphasizing that this commitment has the support of public administrations.

Pedro Urbano, Provincial Director of the General Treasury of Social Security, then stressed the importance of companies integrating a good prevention policy to avoid having workplace accidents, something that involves the necessary social and business awareness.

María Pita, Head of the Provincial Labor Inspection and Social Security, and Francisco Herráiz, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Service of the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Economy, expressed themselves along the same lines, highlighting that the companies present at the event are examples that it is possible to achieve zero accidents.

After the presentation of the badges, the event closed Eduardo Sanz, Meseta Sur Territorial Director of Fraternidad-Muprespa, thanked all the recognized companies for their attendance, as well as the representatives of the administration who accompanied the event. Sanz, finally, encouraged all companies to continue striving to achieve zero accident rate at work.
