Fraternidad-Muprespa increases its income from fees by 13.5% and contributes 9.7 million to Social Security
Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, president of Fraternidad-Muprespa, and Carlos Aranda, managing director of the entity, have presented the income statement corresponding to the 2024 financial year during the General Meeting of Mutual Members, held this Thursday in Madrid.
Fraternidad-Muprespa closed the year with income of 1,777.51 million euros, of which 96.3% corresponded to social contributions. The surplus that the Mutual Fund will pay into Social Security is 9.7 million euros.
According to data collected in the Annual Report and Sustainability ReportIn 2024, the Mutua had more than 119 thousand associated mutual companies and 1,576,453 protected workers, which represents a new record number of members.
Likewise, the president of the Mutual Fund highlighted that during the last financial year Fraternidad-Muprespa has continued to promote technological innovation and the implementation of artificial intelligence and highlighted the entity's commitment to sustainability.
The Fraternidad-Muprespa Habana Hospital maintains a continuous rate of increase in activity, especially assuming more than half of all surgeries performed at the Mutua.
Health activity, prevention and special benefits
During 2024, the Mutual Fund has carried out more than 1.2 million healthcare services due to professional contingencies and has carried out 634,093 healthcare interventions in common contingencies. In addition, it has carried out its preventive activity in more than 3,200 companies.
The Special Benefits Commission granted 657 aid to injured workers for an amount of 718,617 euros.
Improvement of the healthcare and hospital network
To serve the protected group, the Mutua has a care network of 115 its own centers spread throughout Spain.
In 2024, the Barcelona healthcare center reopened its doors after a comprehensive renovation; and the new Alcorcón center has been inaugurated, making a center of more than 1,800 square meters available to mutual members.
To this we must add the improvements in 46 centers, all assuming an investment of 4.9 million euros. A staff of 2,179 people provides services in this service network.
Social Graduates, especially recognized
After the General Meeting, like every year, there was special recognition for six consultancies, recognition that takes on special value in the year of the centenary of the Social Graduate profession.
Fraternidad-Muprespa delivered to Joaquín Merchan, president of the General Council of Official Colleges of Social Graduates of Spain, of a commemorative plaque. Merchán thanked the group for the importance of the synergies established with the Mutual Funds and valued the role they play with institutions, business and society in general.
Special recognition was also given to Josefa Sampayo, the longest-serving Social Graduate of the Madrid school, for her work and dedication, and she was presented with a commemorative plaque.
