There are numerous doubts and uncertainties that arise when talking about an occupational disease, starting with its own definition, passing through its diagnosis, its assessment and, most importantly: its PREVENTION.

Precisely the slow, silent and gradual nature of the damage they cause to the worker's health makes occupational diseases even more dangerous, since it may be the case that for a long time they are not well diagnosed, their true origin is not known or even that the worker has become accustomed to living with pain without finding a cause for his pathology.

They are, therefore, a silent threat but they represent a more than considerable percentage of workplace accidents in our country with the cost that this entails for health, for the economy and for health resources.

We will talk about all of this on March 25 at 10am in the next Fratertalk which will be titled “Diseases professionals: a silent threat”, where we will have the luxury of having two experts in this area such as:

  • José Ignacio Mora, director of the I.T. Care Coordination and Control Center of Fraternidad-Muprespa.__________
  • Montserrat García Gómez, head of the Occupational Health Area of the Ministry of Health.
