General plan of preventive activities to be applied by Mutual Insurance Companies in 2019

The Official State Gazette of on April 9 has published the Resolution March 28, 2019 of the Secretary of State for Social Security which establishes the General Plan of preventive activities of Social Security to be applied by the mutual companies collaborating with Social Security in their planning your activities for the year 2019.

The general plan to be developed by the mutual societies collaborating with Social Security during the year 2019 is established in accordance with the following terms:

  • Criteria and priorities to be applied by mutual insurance companies in their planning of preventive activities. During the year 2019 the mutual companies will develop the preventive activity programs listed below:
    • Technical advisory program for SMEs and companies in preferred sectors.
    • Advice program for companies or concurrent activities.
    • Dissemination program of the Social Security service called "Prevención 10.es".
    • Advice program for companies with less than 50 workers for the adaptation of jobs and structures for the relocation of injured workers or workers with occupational pathologies.
    • Actions to control and, where appropriate, reduce work accidents and occupational diseases.
    • Research, development and innovation activities to reduce professional contingencies.
  • Preventive activities to be carried out by the mutual societies and their financing, as well as documents and publications with information on all the documentation that is prepared for the plan.
  • Presentation by the mutual insurance companies of the preventive activities plan to be developed in 2019 and specificities for the development of preventive activities in certain autonomous communities.
  • Information on the execution of the activity plan and extension of the plan to the INSS and the Social Institute of the Navy.

Annex I details the divisions of activity with the highest number of serious and fatal work accidents and Annex II details the occupational diseases caused by the agents and in the sectors of activity indicated, of which in 2017, the accident limits established in the Cepross alert system were exceeded.
