Guide to action in cases of Covid-19 in educational centers

The Ministry of Health has published on August 27 the document titled Guide to action in response to the appearance of Covid-19 cases in educational centers.

Educational centers are spaces where teachers, students and parents coexist where it is necessary to establish prevention, hygiene and health promotion measures. The objective of this document is to serve as an action guide for the management of cases, contacts and outbreaks of Covid-19 before the return of the school year in an educational center and to allow the establishment of appropriate containment measures.

Given the different scenarios that may occur, the document indicates that a prompt response must be organized to control a possible outbreak and this includes the possibility of indicating the temporary reactive closure of one or several classrooms, along with different levels of measures that consider public health through risk assessment.
