The Guide “Use of drones applied to the prevention of occupational risks” edited by the Murcian employers' association CROEM (Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Murcia), which compiles useful information, has recently been presented. for those responsible and prevention technicians who decide to incorporate the use of drone technology in any of the preventive activities they develop.

Generally speaking, a drone is any aircraft that does not have a pilot, whether operated by software or by a remote pilot.

What is notable in our subject are the new uses that are currently being given to this type of devices, which even become part of production chains as key elements of material supply. In this sense, the applications of drones in terms of safety and health have not been long in coming and many companies use them to carry out safety inspections in places that are difficult to access, thus reducing both the risk of the person carrying out the inspection and the time spent carrying it out.

The main objective of the guide is to compile all the information that may be useful to prevention technicians who decide to incorporate the use of drone technology in any of the preventive activities they develop. The guide compiles both proposals for use with preventive purposes and the compendium of applicable regulations and the necessary requirements for the use of this equipment.
