Guides for reducing contagion in the tourism sector
The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has presented the Guides for the reduction of Coronavirus contagion in the tourism sector. The documents contain specifications for service, cleaning, disinfection, maintenance and risk management for the different activity subsectors of the tourism sector.
These guides complete the measures provided by the orders of the Ministry of Health and, in any case, are subject to them. Different organizations and entities have participated in its preparation, such as the Autonomous Communities, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), the Spanish Association of Occupational Prevention Services (AESPLA) as well as the social agents, the associations of each subsector and the experts participating in the working groups that have been coordinated by the Tourism Quality Institute, an entity to which the Secretary of State of Tourism has entrusted this work.
The different subsectors of activity for which guides have been prepared are:
- Hostels
- Campings.
- Golf courses.
- Tourist guides.
- Hotels.
- Restaurants.
- Travel agencies.
- Spas.
- Tourist information offices.
- Active tourism and ecotourism.
- Rural accommodations.
