ISSGA campaign to avoid the risk of falls on stairs

Falls from a height account for a significant number of workplace accidents and one of the elements that is present in some of these accidents is the ladder, therefore, the Galician Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (ISSGA) has launched the campaign: "Don't fall off the ladder".

This action has been developed within the accident rate working group of the Galician Council for Occupational Safety and Health and its purpose is to provide information on the criteria for selecting ladders, the preventive measures before their use, how they should be placed and used correctly, the indications for their transfer and storage and the PPE that will be used. In this way, the aim is to reduce workplace accidents resulting from falls from a height when carrying out work in which stairs are used.

Among the materials that have been prepared, today we present a triptych and a technical document that develop all the issues mentioned above.
