With these awards we intend to recognize our associated companies highly committed to the prevention of occupational risks that demonstrate that they have carried out or are carrying out preventive actions that represent an improvement in the safety, health and well-being of their workers, beyond mere compliance with prevention regulations.

THE WINNERS OF THE IX EDITION WERE:

Grupo Agbar  won first prize in the Plus Prevention category, which recognizes preventive improvement actions aimed at reducing workplace accidents, without forgetting good practices in the face of the pandemic. Specifically, the entity has seen its contingency plan against COVID-19 recognized, promoting innovative measures to prevent infections among workers and guarantee the supply of drinking water to the entire population during the pandemic.

Banco de Crédito Social Corporativo, of the Cajamar group, was the awarded entity in the category Walking Towards Wellbeing, which distinguishes the best healthy habits projects. It received the award for a complete workplace wellness program aimed at promoting healthy eating, promoting physical activity, caring for emotional well-being and protecting individual health in its workforce.

Nidec Arisa  took first prize in the category Talking about Prevention, which distinguishes good internal and external communication and disclosure practices. The jury assessed that its internal communication program on occupational safety strengthens the preventive culture at all levels in the company.

Endesa  was the company awarded in the We Feel Prevention category, which recognizes good practices in areas such as the integration of the gender perspective, active aging or the adaptation of prevention to workers with special abilities. Its recognition has been granted for integrating the gender perspective at all levels of the company, developing a preventive policy adapted to women and also achieving the inclusion of diversity in preventive management.

In the category Safe Mobility, which aims to recognize good practices in road safety at work, the Sociedad Mixta del Agua-Jaén, SOMAJASA won, for its work to raise awareness about a prudent attitude behind the wheel, developing actions that have been included in its Annual Road Safety Conference, which is in its fifth edition.

 This doctor specialized in occupational medicine, in addition to her extensive career, has been a pioneer and coordinator in the preparation of the reference document during the pandemic  for prevention services.

In addition, the Mutua awarded the Extraordinary Award to the entity   u body committed to the prevention of occupational risks  to the International Social Security Association,  highlighting its leading role in the field of Prevention with its Vision Zero program.

After 8 editions and more than With 500 projects presented, the Escolástico Zaldívar Awards are a true reflection that our associated companies are decisively committed to safety and health at work.

We remember that the categories to which mutual company applications were submitted were:

ORDINARY CATEGORIES:

  • “Plus Prevention” Award: Recognition of preventive improvement actions aimed at reducing occupational accidents and occupational diseases in one of the five major areas that make up occupational risk prevention: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, applied psychosociology or health monitoring.
  • “Talking about Prevention” Award: Recognition for the work of communication, dissemination and promotion of prevention both internally within the company and externally.
  • “We Feel Prevention” Award:   Recognition of good preventive practices related to ageism, active aging, workers with special abilities, new technologies, new work organization methodologies, diversity, integration of the gender perspective in ORP, and, in general, preventive practices that address these challenges to improve the working conditions and occupational health of workers.
  • Safe Mobility” Award: Recognition of actions and good practices in road safety, aimed at reducing workplace traffic accidents.
  • “Walking towards well-being” Award: Recognition of programs and projects to promote healthy habits among workers,  both on a physical and emotional level, including mental health care.

EXTRAORDINARY CATEGORIES:

  • Extraordinary Jury Award: Recognition of organizations or entities that stand out in a special way for their commitment, dissemination and promotion of the prevention of occupational risks.
  • Extraordinary recognition for professional career: person outstanding for his extensive experience and career in the world of occupational risk prevention.
