The interview began by commenting on current issues: high temperatures and how to protect yourself from them: avoiding prolonged direct exposure to the sun, wearing appropriate clothing and hats, periodic breaks and plenty of hydration. "The adverse effects of heat depend greatly on the individual characteristics of each person, but when the ambient temperature reaches 35º C, and is accompanied by high levels of humidity, it can put health at risk. If the temperature reaches 40º C it can be dangerous even with low levels of humidity," explained the specialist.
The annual campaign that the Labor Inspection carries out to control the conditions that can cause heat stroke and that begins in construction and agricultural companies and then extends to other activities, such as bakeries and industrial facilities, was also recalled.
