The European Enterprise Survey on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER), carried out by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, analyzes how European workplaces manage occupational health and safety risks in practice.

With the participation of thousands of companies and organizations across Europe, the survey aims to cover psychosocial risks, digitalisation, as well as drivers and barriers to health and safety management, and provide information on how workers' involvement in OSH-related matters could improve working conditions in the EU.

The latest survey data, collected in more than 41,000 workplaces, have shown that prolonged sedentary lifestyle, dealing with difficult clients and digitalization are among the most important and emerging occupational risks in Europe. It also highlights the growing impact of digitalisation and an increase in consultations with workers about its effects on safety and health.
