Latest News in Prevention Technical Notes

The collection of INSST Prevention Technical Notes was started with the aim of becoming an indispensable reference manual for every preventionist and obeys the purpose of this organization to provide social agents and ORP professionals with technical consultation tools.

The most recent ones that have been presented this year 2023 are the following:

• NTP 1187 Epidemic outbreaks. Algorithm for study by professional exhibitions. It details the steps to follow in the investigation of an outbreak or cluster of cases in a work environment and proposes an algorithm with the aim of facilitating decision-making that allows formulating specific hypotheses about the causative agents, anticipating preventive measures and thus contributing to an early and efficient resolution of the outbreak.
• NTP 1183 and 1184: Chemical agents: qualitative assessment of chemical risk by inhalation (IV). Stoffenmanager method (part 1 and part 2). Different qualitative tools and methods are described to help in the management of chemical agents in the workplace.
• NTP 1189: Evaluation of the risk of thermal stress: WBGT Index : the methodology to assess the risk of thermal stress based on the WBGT index is explained in the UNE EN ISO 7243: 2017 Ergonomics of the thermal environment standard.
