Let's move better. DGT campaign to promote the use of ADAS

Under the general motto of “Let's move better”, the General Directorate of Traffic, has created a dozen videos with practical examples, in order to promote the use of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems, better known as ADAS, which are now mandatory in all approved vehicles since July 6, 2022, as they will be in the new registered as of July 6, 2024.

Both FACONAUTO and GANVAM collaborate in the dissemination of these videos to ensure that drivers know the advantages of using these devices installed in vehicles that can contribute to achieving the objective of reducing road mortality by half at the end of this decade set out in the Road Safety Strategy 2030. 

In the workplace, the company vehicle is considered work equipment, so when selecting one or another model or carrying adaptations to them, it is very important to take into account both passive and active safety factors.  In addition, the people who drive the vehicle will have to be trained in the proper use and maintenance of the security systems incorporated in it.

From all of the above, we had the opportunity to talk with Elías Izquierdo, an expert in ADAS systems, in the third edition of the Fraternidad-Muprespa Workplace Road Safety Week.  Below we show you the most notable moments of his speech.
